Anyone else kinda hate Thanksgiving? I am forced into spending the entire day with people I'm ashamed to be related to and then we're required to stuff our faces until we're sick. Um... fun?
I think it gets better as you get older. I think the smaller the crowd, the more enjoyable. I used to loath Thanksgiving as a teen/young adult, but I love the time with my family now.
It doesn't bother me. In fact, apart from "Pocahontas", I've almost no idea what it's about. Except that you eat turkey. Which, since I'm vegetarian, also doesn't affect me...
I'm from the so called "Old World". Even though my country was settled well after America...

And Pocahontas has nothing to do with it. Haha... I just honestly cannot stand most of my extended family. Thank god for the internet...
Wow. I always thought Pocahontas and Thanksgiving were somehow related...
Oh well.
I doubt anyone here could tell me about ANZAC Day or Kangaroo Riding Day...

I like it, it's fun to just have a day where you sit around and hang out with family. I was in NYC last year with my choir and I really missed being at home.
