4 Food Network personalities are preparing a banquet for over 100 people using only food that is considered "waste". So much incredible food that sadly due to shape, size, look or perception will just be thrown away.

Been an incredible show so far, and the response of Food Network's facebook page has been huge compared to most of their specials.

If you haven't seen it I highly recommend trying to catch a repeat.

David walked into the valley With a stone clutched in his hand He was only a boy But he knew someone must take a stand There will always be a valley Always mountains one must scale There will always be perilous waters Which someone must sail -Into the Fire Scarlet Pimpernel

One of my pet peeves is obviously faked reality shows and this one was a fake as could be. The poultry store had unsaleable chicken that they were going to throw away so they had them packed on ice and boxed in coolers? The gourmet food store was throwing out about $200 worth of prosciutto because it was an "end'? And if the meat market couldn't find someone to sell his scraps to (including those absolutely succulent short ribs) he should be out of business.

My father ran a meat market for years- every part of an animal gets used (As he'd say "Everything but the squeal"). He'd sell scrap to soap makers, dog food companies, fertilizer companies- you name it.
