Apparently it's popular in St. Louis. Can you describe the taste?
I'm trying to recapture the taste of a pizza place in my area that has gone out of business. I think the pizza at that place was mostly Provolone but I've tried and can't get the same taste. I wonder if they used Provel?

It's disgusting. In St Louis, they consider a perfect pizza to be about as thick as a piece of notebook paper with provel on top.
It's hard to describe the taste. It's a processed, combo cheese, so maybe like Velveeta with a little kick to it.
Disgusting.
