well, good. that's a start. now use your cell phone and call the person to whom you "won" the ebay auction and tell them your troubles and why you will not be able to honor the transaction.

Well I think at least two lessons can be learned from this thread.
1.) Never bid on an auction unless you alone are able to fulfill.
2.) The actions of one poster can result in a lack of trust ramifications for other posters.

Grrr...it wasn't my fault! I WAS able to pay for my eBay auction...long story.
Two lesons to be learned from this thread:
1) BWW, despite present company
, is full of wonderful, generous people. Truly, BWW is a very special online community that no other website of any genre has.
2) CapnHook is a poor fool addicted to BWW who needs to start smoking.

No one I know has paypal. I could always get cash from a friend, but the auction is paypal only.

E-mail the Ebay seller, and ask if you can send the money a few weeks from now. Most are pretty cool about this type of thing...they just wanna know that the transaction will eventually be completed.

Was the E-bay auction that you won for a batch of old Blue Boy's? If so I am pissed that you were the one to outbid me and now you don't even have the money for it. Or was it for that 25th anniversary Tinkerbell figurine that Disney put out in limited edition?

I assure you Sueleen, Cap is not interested in grown up things. Even with the word "boy" in the title. I would be willing to bet that it is some sort of Disney item he's bid on. Or Wizard of Oz. But more likely Disney.
