I went to an interview yesterday, thinking I was going in for an office job, and was offered a job as a knife salesman. Does anyone know of anyone else who has done this? It seems kind of dangerous...

I went through one of their spiels when I was in high school. It's a pyramid scheme where you have to buy their products and then try to sell them in people's homes. They particularly prey on college campuses and several colleges have petitioned to keep them away. Run.
