Anyone have the iTrip thing (hooks ipod to the radio)...?

I bought one for like 30 dollars and it's from Belkin. The thing works fine but sometimes is a pain and I've realized it works better if I have it in my hand. I don't evne have to hold it higher, just hold it period. I dunno, it's weird.
Was curious if anyone has one of these and knows if the different brands matter and if the one by apple might be better. I dunno if I'm able to return mine and try to find and buy the apple one (itrip) but if it's really better I might wanna attempt it.
If only my car had a casette player.... than it'd be nicer, but it doesn't, so whatever.

I'm sorry, now I feel bad.

I don't even know to which thread you're referring, but it sounds like you should feel bad!
I don't understand what an iTrip does. Can someone explain it?

I serisouly didn't do anythin bad... just soemthin I said that sounded bad, cept I didn't mean it the way they thought. The other thread is the shoe one, I edited it tho.
But iTrip...
You put it into the headphone thing, then you set it to a station. You put ya FM radio to that station (the mroe static the better) and it catchs the freq and plays the ipod over the radio. You need a station that has static or else it won't work.... it's a bit annoyin sometimes if a certain station starts working all of a sudden and than ya ipod doesn't, but just gotta set a few stations to the memory thing and change if needed.
It's an awesome idea since I can't use the casette to ipod thing... so needed this.

I have the belkin on and it sucks.. I went and bought a different one that allows me to play my iPod on any radio frequency.. It works so much better.. The iPod sits in a craddle and charges while it plays.. I forget who makes it though..
Em they are the units that allow you to play your iPod through your car stereo.

Posted: 8/23/05 at 3:50pmOh. So it plays your iPod's music? Like, instead of the cassette player hookup?

ok which one do you have? I am tempted to get it if it's really alot better since the belkin one is annoying sometimes.
If ya can get the name for me, I'd appreciate it... thanks :)
