I'll be in Chicago on Aug 25 for a week.........taking my partner for his birthday as he's never been and has always wanted to go. I lived there long ago, looking forward to it.....

---

I work near the corner of Randolph and Michigan.

Stalking....stalking....

I love Chicago and I love Sidetracks.

Here's a special WOOF for JoeKv! (You too, Windy City.) Grrr...

And Brd and Liotte and the rest of you, you can have a Woof! too if you want one, but I suspect like most Chicagoans, you just let the IML/Bear weekend come and go quietly.

Thanks for reminding me about the Leather thing - I'll be sure to avoid ther Loop this weekend! I was downtown last year on Memorial Weekend saturday, and it took me a while to figure out why South Wabash near the Plamer House looked gayer than the heart of Boystown!

Seriously - how long has this event been going on? Way back in ther mid 1970's, when I was in high school, I worked doing props at a big dinner theatre in Omaha, Nebraska. Every year at this time, all the gay actors/chorus boys would talk about driving to Chicago for the holiday weekend. It was like a religious pilgrimage!

Ok, I'm in Chicago! When's the party??

The Hyatt now-- Halsted tonight & tomorrow, Navy Pier for the BIG Mr. Leather Pageant Saturday night.

I was glad to see that Hydrate will be "The Manhole" all weekend-- that was always my favorite Bar name and I was sad when it went away!

It's not that I don't WANT to meet you, it's just that I can't! Urg. I wished I lived in the city, but I hear movie ticket prices are OUTRAGEOUS in there!

I didn't end up going to the game, long story. Watching the Yankees-Red Sox game on tv now, will go out to the bar later. Thanks for looking for me though! I'll be downtown tomorrow doing the wicked lottery for some friends, so if you are in the area, you know where to find me!
