it is probably a chinese translation of what is in english on the site.
This looks to be a jacked-up price for the movie soundtrack......(hence the Minnie Friver, Miranda Richardson names)
Way too much money.......

Posted: 4/21/05 at 5:35pmWell, unless you live in Asia, this DVD won't work for you

Alright, this is what I have translated. Keep in mind that the literal Chinese translation is very ambiguous, even from people whose first language is Chinese. This could very well be deliberate so the purchaser cannot hold the seller accountable if the features aren't what he/she was expecting. These are the literal meanings, so how you interpret it is up to you.
-Sound Mix: DTS, Dolby Digital
-Extra:
-Documentary on the making of the production
- Movie music (also ambiguous - is this an extra CD, the score, etc.?)
-Words of people from the stage show (Sarah Brightman, etc.)
-Movie pre-notice (this could be interpreted as anything from a trailer to a flyer to a TV spot...my money would be on a commercial)
[line break]
Included certificate of authenticty. "Limited edition" DVD, only 2000 copies produced.
**Free gifts**
- publication (can be interpreted as a booklet, flyer or a magazine)
- "Phantom mask" pin
- rose
Oh, and MikeH, also keep in mind that even though the Picture Format is NTSC, the DVD region is "3" (Southeast Asia), so make sure you have a regionless DVD player!

It tells you the english aboce the Chinese - and the DVD is included - so check Amazon.
But again, this won't work if you are in the US, or even England...or anywhere other than China, Japana...

Posted: 4/21/05 at 5:42pmIf you have a regionless DVD player (such as bwaysinger does), you can play it.

Posted: 4/21/05 at 6:38pmThanks guys! I've been looking to get a new DVD player and I want to get a region-free one. I'm kind of partial towards the r3 versions of Phantom because they include DTS sound and a few other extras that are exclusive to these versions...
