Hey There,
I've been working on a project about Ann Miller and am at the point of needing to speak to some people who knew this great lady. If there's anyone out there please send me a private message so I can get in touch with you. I appreciate it a lot, and thank you!

Sorry, I didn't know her but I met her and hope this little story will help you.
In the late 1990s (around 1997) she came backstage after a performance at The Dorothy Chandler. I'd say about twenty dancers and our artistic staff and artistic director had a chat with her. She called our director "Mr. Arpino" and he gave her a Joffrey sweatshirt. She responded with enthusiasm. I kept thinking how cute, she is wearing a sparkly gown and she is getting excited about a cotton sweatshirt. What a star!

I had the opportunity to meet her too about 7 years ago...at an AIDS Foundation Academy Awards dinner. There was a reception prior to the event. She was hanging out with the rest of us (representatives of sponsors), listening to the piano. After a while, no one was talking to her -- she was just sitting next to the piano, singing along to "I Could Have Danced All Night." It was so cute. So, I walked up and tried my best to start a conversation. Somehow, we ended up talking about the movie Titanic (which she loved), and her upcoming production of Follies at Papermill Playhouse. Anyway, we chatted for about 20 minutes, and I'll always treasure it.
What I'd give to have seen her in Mame!
