Anyone else run into this problem:

It's before summer and you want to find a job to combat the rush of pimply teenagers trying to earn their first paycheck. You really want to be in a play and auditions are soon. The problem is that the auditions are the first weekend in June, way after the "summer rush".

So what would you guys do in this situation?

You apply for your summer job anyway, and resign if you get cast in something. (And call out sick to go to the auditions, if that's your concern.)
