Hi guys,
Sooo, I am leaving for NYC on February 16th, and my plane gets there at like 4:00pm. I was wondering if because of the winter weather if flights frequently get delayed? I am asking because I want to see a show that Wednesday night, but I don't know if I'll have enough time.

whenever you are flying to a place that can get snow during the wintertime, you take that chance. i've gotten stuck in numerous places because flights were cancelled and i couldn't get back home to ny due to weather conditions. there's really no way to know in advance if there will be delays/cancellations. it ALL depends on the weather. but if there's no snow on the ground, then you shouldn't have a problem. Flights are delayed when the weather is inclement. It's sunny and close to 60 degress today in NY. Hard to say what the weather will be like on 2/16. But if it's snowy and/or icy, yes, there's a good chance of there being a delay. Then again, there could be a delay on your end, as well. If it was me, I probably wouldn't take the chance. I wouldn't want to have to worry about it. I'd rather take my time checking into whereever I was staying and go out for a nice relaxing dinner. But should you decide to roll the dice, and your flight arrives on time, you should be okay if you head directly for midtown.
thanks a bunch. I'll just say if I get to NYC in time for a show, I'll head over to the TKTS booth and grab a ticket that way.
