I told you once
I told you twice
I told you chicken noodle soup with rice.
I'm Really Rosie.

Just kidding, I'm real as can be, and DAME can vouch for me.

re: Are you real?

All too real for some. Seriously, I don't feel weird about anybody on the board. Although you kind of worried me just now :) I don't chat, so I don't know.

re: Are you real?

I think the way people answered this question may say a lot about how "real" they are. I tend to believe those who gave a simple "I'm real" type of answer are probably pretty genuine, while those people who gave a playful, more questionable answer about themselves may not be as "real" in presenting themselves. That may just be this thread though.

re: Are you real?

Outside of the handfull of people I've actually met, I take most things here with a grain of salt - and sometimes it's a very BIG grain.

And as an aside - every one of those I HAVE met 'on the outside' have been perfectly delightful and wonderful - and a couple of them I actually consider good friends.

re: Are you real?

I went back to the doctor
To get another shrink.
I sit and tell him about my weekend,
But he never betrays what he thinks.

Can you see the real me, doctor?
Can you see the real me, doctor?

I went back to my mother
I said, ’I’m crazy ma, help me.’
She said, ’i know how it feels son,
’cause it runs in the family.’

Can you see the real me, mother?
Can you see the real me, mother?

The cracks between the paving stones
Look like rivers of flowing veins.
Strange people who know me
Peeping from behind every window pane.
The girl I used to love
Lives in this yellow house.
Yesterday she passed me by,
She doesn’t want to know me now.

Can you see the real me, can you?
Can you see the real me, can you?

I ended up with the preacher,
Full of lies and hate,
I seemed to scare him a little
So he showed me to the golden gate.

Can you see the real me preacher?
Can you see the real me preacher?
Can you see the real me doctor?
Can you see the real me doctor?
Can you see the real me mother?
Can you see the real me mother?
Can you see the real me?
Can you see the real me?

Can you see the real me, BWW?

re: Are you real?

In my head there's only you now
This world falls on me
In this world there's real and make believe
And this seems real to me
And you love me but you don't know who I am
I'm torn between this life I lead and where I stand
And you love me but you don't know who I am
So let me go, just let me go, let me go

And no matter how hard I try
I can't escape these things inside
I know, I know
But all the pieces fall apart
You will be the only one who knows, who knows

You love me but you don't know who I am
I'm torn between this life I lead and where I stand
And you love me but you don't know who I am
So let me go, just let me go

(you don't know)
You love me but you don't
You love me but you don't
(you don't know)
You love me but you don't know who I am

(you don't know)
You love me but you don't
You love me but you don't
(you don't know)
You love me but you don't know me

Just thought I'd add to list of songs about "realness".

Honestly, I try to be as "real" as possible, but I think most of us come here to have fun and not necessarily be ourselves at all times. You have to judge the people on this board on a case-by-case basis. Some are probably very honest about who they are and others are full of sh!t. My advice is to not take anything here too seriously and to trust your instincts.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

re: Are you real?

there's a pretty simple test. If you are chatting specifically with someone and form a bond, then find yourself in a location near theirs, and they are willing to meet in public, chances are they are pretty close to what they have led you to believe.

If, on the other hand, warning bells go off in your chat interaction, or if/when you get in proximity to meet public they have all kinds of excuses why not, then chances are they are posing.

As an earlier poster said, grains of salt are very useful. Research away from here on rumors and innuendo can tell you a lot, for example. Common sense is pretty prevalent. Use yours in combination with an open mind.

And after all, it's just a chat site.

re: Are you real?

In my own little corner in my own little chair
I can be whatever I want to be.
On the wings of my fancy I can fly anywhere
and the world will open its arms to me.

I'm a young Norwegian princess or a milkmaid
I'm the greatest prima donna in Milan
I'm an heiress who has always had her silk made
By her own flock of silkworms in Japan

I'm a girl men go mad for love's a game I can play with a
cool and confident kind of air.
Just as long as I stay in my own little corner
All alone in my own little chair.

I can be whatever I want to be.
I'm a slave from Calcutta I'm a queen in Peru.
I'm a mermaid dancing upon the sea

I'm a huntress on an African safari.. it's a dangerous type of sport and yet it's fun
In the night I sally forth to seek my quarry
And I find I forgot to bring my gun.

I am lost in the jungle all alone and unarmed when I meet a lioness in her lair
Then I'm glad to be back in my own little corner,
All alone in my own little chair.

"Not a day goes by..."

Yeah, Im real.

Seriously though, what you see is what you get with me. If anything, I probably come off far more subdued online than in person. Let's just say Im incredibly difficult to lose in a crowd. lol

Of course I'm real. I wouldn't lie to all of you guys. You're all too cool for me to do that.
I'm not a gay stereotype. I'm a coincidence.
