Posted: 9/1/11 at 11:00amWell, they make a very good case for a Federal gun ban. The Consitution mentions a right to bear arms. It does not specify guns. And if Republicans start whining about it, ask them how many of them LEGALLY own grenades, land mines, rocket launchers, missiles, or nuclear weapons.

Here's coverage from Arizona, complete with comment section. As expected, the republican county leadership shows absolutely no remorse whatsoever, just complete defiance.
"Interim chairman Mike Shaw said hes had no complaints, noting past gun raffles have been effective fundraisers and that responsible gun ownership is a constitutional right.
'There is absolutely no reason for anyone to think it is inappropriate,' he said."

Interim chairman Mike Shaw said hes had no complaints, noting past gun raffles have been effective fundraisers and that responsible gun ownership is a constitutional right.
Thus my earlier post. Gun ownership is NOT a Constitutional right. But then, most of these nutbags interpret the Consitution the way they interpret the Bible. Inconsistently at best. Saying something out loud doesn't turn a lie into the truth.
