I really, really, really, really, really need your help. PLEASE!

I am taking stagecraft in the summer to get it over with (I'm an acting major, and a transfer student so I have to get alot of the core general theatre courses out of the way to graduate on time.) but the course goes really really really fast. We study 8 million units in 2 days, then have a test, and we don't have a textbook so studying is very difficult-google isn't a big help, either. I desperately need the help of all you designers and tech guys. I have a test tomorrow that I really don't want to fail. So I have a couple of questions that aren't in my notes and I can't find them on the net.

drops:
1.what are the five parts of a scenic drop?
2.what are three types of drops?
3.what are legs and borders?
4.what do we use in stage curtains to weight the bottom? what do we use for drops?

flats:
1.how do we attach mulsin to a standard flat?
2.what is the process to attach luan to a hollywood flat?
3.what is the sill iron made out of?

platforms:
1.what is the standard decking for a platform?
2.what is facing?
3.what are revolves, jackknife wagons and tracked wagons?

oh, how I hate this class. help would be greatly appreciated.

Search on eBay for the textbook "The Backstage Handbook."

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

There is a tech theatre website you can google. I'm sorry I don't have the address. It's on my school computer. It may answer alot of these questions for you.

Legs are the curtains in the wings that are small.

well, here's one:

3.what are legs and borders?
legs are the long (vertically), skinny (usually black) curtains that hang at the sides of the stage to form the wings. borders are the long (horizontally) curtains that hang across the top of the stage under the proscenium. they are usually used to block the audience's view of any hanging lights.

good luck on your test!!
