I'm auditioning for Bye Bye Birdie next week [community theatre], and I'm stressing because I don't really know the show. I asked a few of my friends who are familiar with the show, and they suggested I try out for Kim. I'm a mezzo and while I'm more comfortable belting, my range is pretty high and I can sing soprano as well. I'm 15, so I'm assuming I'd be too young for the older alto role. I need some suggestions on good audition songs for the role of Kim. The announcement said 50's or 60's pop/rock, or something that fits the role you're auditioning for. Since I don't know the style of the show, I'm having trouble picking a song.

Maybe the Solo Version of 'Isn't kinda Fun' from State Fair, the 60's version.

I'm pretty sure you can find the music on musicnotes!
