I am auditioning for Beauty and the Beast- Actaully Bell. I still haven't found a monolouge and the audition is in 3 weeks. I am wondering if you know where I should look, wether a website or a book. But it has to be from Children's literature.
Also, I would like some audition tips to improve my chances on getting Bell. I know the upperclassman are likely to get it, but I really would love to get Bell. I have the curly brown hair and am petite. What should I wear, act like, and be like. If you have any tips, please help me.

Posted: 9/11/05 at 9:56amHi, well one thing I would suggest is not to dress up as the character, I have thought about doing it myself, but was told it was a no-no. Just act very nice, sweet, and caring. You could say that that is like acting like Belle, but you could really be that way. For a monologue, you could check http://www.theatrelinks.com/tales.htm, it has links to fairy tales that are suitable for use in drama. Good luck!!!
