Audition Question- not asking for material

Audition Question- not asking for material

#0Audition Question- not asking for material

So, I'm auditioning for Urinetown at my univ.- I can belt "It's a Privelege to Pee" and would love to be Pennywise. We can sing from the show and do either 2 songs or a monologue and a song, so I was thinking about doing "Privelege to Pee" and then some sort of ingenue song for 'Hope,' who I would also like to be considered for. Or, should I sing "Privelege to Pee" and another strong choice for Pennywise- which is a probably more my type.

Thanks.

p.s.- any suggestions for Hope, if you think I should audition for her, too, would be appreciated.

do 1 song for pennywise and another song for a diffrent character show u can do more then pennywise, so that way u can be considered for more than just 1 role

well the point of singnig two songs is to contrast and so a rang of things you can do, so definitly sing a song that not just for the one role.

what about like "notice me horton" for a Hope like song, I only saw the show once a while again but I think they are along the same lines of light voice..y and strange funny behavor wise.

or see i forget what hope sings other then the last song, I know she does the one about listing to your heart but I forget how it sounds, but what about like I hate to say it but "Tayler the Latte Boy" ( I like Sunsa Egans vertion of the song but it was made popular but Kristen Chenowith).

Hope they are ok, I'm not so good at picking songs for other people, but I like both of thoese songs.

I would definitely go with singing a song that is compltely different from your pennywise song (show them how versatile you are!)

I think Notice Me Horton would be a really good choice for Hope. Or anything slightly quirky yet not all out wierd (I'm drawing a blank at the moment.)
