I have an audition in September for a school production of "Sweet Charity," and I need help finding an audition song. I'm a high baritone/low tenor auditioning for "Oscar." Our director told us to look for Cy Coleman songs or songs in a similar style, and I can't find anything. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, or maybe I'm making it harder than it really is. Any suggestions you all might have are greatly appeciated. It only has to be 16 bars, so if you could also recommend which part of the song to sing that would be great!
well here are some of his other best :
Little Me, On the Twentieth Century, Barnum, City of Angels and Will Rogers Follies..you are bound to find something from one of these.

oscar is a neurotic character, so you might try for a comedic uptempo song. its ALWAYS a good idea to choose a song which not only shows your singing abilities but your acting abilities as well. of cy coleman's other shows, i'm most familiar with barnum, and i dont know if there's anything good for your range or to audition with for this particular show. try something else from the time period, like "promises promises"
