Audition songs for Asian teen girl

Do they have to be as an asian character? As an asian actor myself I've had voice teacher throw asian songs as me, but realized most of those aren't my type at all. If for some reason you're looking specifically for asian characters it will be hard as we are one of the least represented groups on broadway.
