thanks..
somebody gave me the option of I know the truth or Strongest Suit from Aida...good ideas?
Good fun, but miiight be a little "grown up". I'd do 'My Strongest Suit' over 'I Know The Truth'. Something from 'You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown', if you don't mind the possibility of doing something overdone. Or if you can find a cute quirky song with excellent wordplay, that'd be good too. :3
New Philosophy from your a good man charlie Brown would be cute for Gertrude

AH! Seussical is AMAZING and will be a fabulous experience! It is the absolute most fun I have ever had on stage EVER.
Altho, at my audition I made a huge mistake. I sang "This Is The Moment" from Jekyll & Hyde.... I had just done it for a musical festival, gotten superior scores, and won a scholarship with it. HOWEVEr... BAD BAD BAD choice for the show! It was a bit over the top for Horton and not nearly upbeat and humorous enough for The Cat. Thanks to really funny monologue, I got a Wickersham.... which was still a BLAST.
My advice to you is to do somethin BIG, upbeat, with LOTS of personality and humor. Every single character in the show (with perhaps the exclusion of Horton and JoJo) needs big singers that can be upbeat, peppy, and fun.
Good luck!

So I just read the "girl" part...
Although, I my last post still applies.
Anything huge and over the top with personality will be PERFECT for Sour kangaroo, Mayzie, or the Bird Girls.... even for Gertrude really! Something FUN and entertaining is KEY.
