From the theater company that recently produced Songs For A New World and Legally Blonde: The Musical, New Vision Players now holds auditions for their 2013 spring production: INTO THE WOODS!
INFO: The Brothers Grimm hit Broadway with an epic fairytale where worlds collide. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for Into the Woods: a timeless, yet relevant piece and rare modern classic. The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

AGE RESTRICTION:
Must be at least 16-years-old to audition!
WHAT TO PREPARE:
-Two songs, one upbeat and one ballad, that best show off your vocals. Please cut it down to 16-32 bars each. An accompanist will be present at the auditions, but you are welcome to perform your songs a cappella instead.
-There will also be a cold reading.
-There will be no dance call at auditions
REHEARSALS:
Two weeknights (tentatively Tuesday & Thursday nights) and one weekend day (Sunday afternoons)
PERFORMANCE DATES:
April 18th at 8 PM
April 19th at 8 PM
April 20th at 2 PM and 8 PM
April 21st at 2 PM (One Weekend)
All performances will be at the Fair Lawn Community Center, in Fair Lawn, NJ!
