Well, it appears it was verbal assault and not physical.

"Looks like Batman's mouth is what got him into trouble!

A report claims that Christian Bale was likely arrested for verbal assault.

In England one can be charged with verbal assault, Class 4 and Class 5.

Is that really arrest-worthy?"

Honey, if your parents and siblings are calling the fuzz on you for "verbal assault" its time to let the fam have some "alone time".

"Something smells a little fishy in the Bale family and we don't think it's Christian!

Mommy Jenny Bale and sister Sharron have finally spoken out about Christian's arrest and said an "incident" had taken place on Sunday but refused to give any details.

Batman's sis originally denied knowing anything about it but then said, "OK, there was an incident but the police are dealing with it. It is an extremely sensitive situation. There is nothing more I can say."

The alleged assault was believed to have taken place on Sunday night at the fancy Dorchester Hotel, where Bale was staying ahead of The Dark Knight's London premiere on Monday.

Christian is denying any wrongdoing.

Momma Jenny said, "Yes I was there and yes there was a family situation but the police are handling it and I cannot say anymore at the moment. We didn't call the police to the scene. I can't say anymore but we didn't call the police."

Mom and sis reportedly went to a police station in Hampshire to make the allegation, which was subsequently referred to the London's Metropolitan Police.

Sounds like some people were conspiring to us!

At the age of 17, Christian left his former circus clown and dancer mom and sisters in Wales to live with his animal/environmental activist dad in LA.

The senior Bale died from a brain tumor in December 2003 and Christian was at his bedside.

Since moving to LA he has only been back to Wales once.

Sounds like mom and son don't exactly have a close relationship to us!

But, in a previous interview, Jenny, the former clown, said her famous son had never shunned or snubbed her.

Did mom and sis go up to London from Wales to stir things up with Christian?

Makes us wonder!"

Sounds perfectly logical...if mom, sis, and Christian were having a screaming match, someone nearby could easily called the cops.

I understood it as Mom and Sis are the ones who went to the Police. Sounds like he does not have much to do with them. Could it have been over money? A blackmail attempt? Who knows?

Circus folk are NOT to be trusted! (to any circus folk on BWW, I kid!)

I fear this may have been a copycat crime after my high-profile arrest last week on similar assault charges stemming from a fight with DG.
