Bet you didn't see THAT one coming, did ya?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I've been angry that I haven't been able to buy BATB. I've been waiting for it to be re-issued on DVD.
But I hate 3D animation like I hate Twilight.
Wait.
Why don't I care about this?!
I guess the last couple months have killed my soul.
This could be interesting.
If the technology is as good or better than Philharmagic, then this could be spectacular. I'll never forget when my boyfriend and I went to Disney World. It was his first trip there and he really didn't want to go in the first place (he is so Euro sometimes), but we were having a wonderful time. We went in to watch Philharmagic in the Magic Kingdom and I expected the sort of "4D" antics WDW has been producing for about 15 years and I was absolutely STUNNED by this film. The technology was the best I'd ever seen. We walked out all smiles and stopped for a moment as we hadn't planned out the rest of the day. I asked him what we should do next and he looked at me with an embarrassed little grin and said, "I want to watch it again." So we turned around and walked right back inside for a second viewing. If I remember correctly, we went back for a third viewing later in the week before returning to Chicago.
I'm going to go see BOLT without the 3D. It tires my eyes and distracts from the story. I remember when the did BEAST in Imax, and it was a horrible experience . . . totally made all the static background characters stick out. It took me awhile to see the movie again and really appreciate it without noticing the shortcuts I had seen blown up on Imax.
