Yes, but in some places you would have to re-start as a Freshman.

Oh my god. I need to learn not to click on threads like these. That's scary.
Just so people don't think conservatories with a smaller amount of people are better, let me clear this up. In my sophomore class at BoCo, we started with 74, it's the middle of sophomore year and now we have 63. Within our class, we have SO many different types, that I would technically only be up against 2 or 3 girls who are also my type.
In a program that has 17 people...which isn't necessarily a bad thing...there isn't as much variety. Imagine spending 4 years with the same 17 people...you would kill yourself. So don't be afraid of the great programs that accept more people than the norm. It's usually because everyone is so very different.

Depends on the school. Some don't take transfers. Some only take transfers if they have open spots due to attrition. Generally speaking, there are fewer spots for transfer students than for freshman applicants everywhere. At most schools, the transfer audition process is done separately and most will not get a decision as early as freshman applicants. Transfer app deadline is often much later than that for freshmen.
