Go to CBS.COM by tomorrow at midnight and vote to bring Kaysar back into the house!
I've voted like 100 times for Kaysar.
Can't stand Eric.
Can't stand Maggie.
Can't stand Ivette.
The idea of the "Frienship" sickens me.
Totally rooting for Janelle, Howie, or James to win this - unless KAYSAR comes back then totally behind him!

I voted for Michael a bunch of times. He didn't have a fair chance in this game because of stupid Eric. Big Brother 5 was SO much better. I can't stand anyone from season 6.
SPOILER FROM TONIGHT'S SHOW
I'm ok with Michael.
Just DON'T LET ERIC BACK IN THE HOUSE!
Although I would actually MAYBE be ok with it if Ivette had to pass him on the way out... hahahahaha
Vote here my friends

I have left it running on my computer for a few days...probally voted for him close to 200,000 times and counting
I hate to say this, but there's a chance that these automatic vote things are rigged to vote for Eric...I've been reading forums (I have no life) talking about this....
man, i sure hope not Jason!

Voting ends at 12PM (Noon) Pacific Time on Wednesday. And the two times I refreshed the page to vote again, my vote would automatically go to Eric, and not the person I voted for.

Is Big Brother on? LOL I didn't even notice.
Chita you are my hero! I owe you a drink
Look, I may waste my time watching this show, but at least I don't waste my time reading posts about a show I don't watch! Isn't that worse?
GO KAYSAR
Considering how long it took to read this thread, I imagine the amount of time wasted in reading and posting to it is miniscule by comparison to watching one episode, so the analogy is moot.

My posts are not meant to offend anyone in particular...just in general. I hate reality TV. I think it's just shy of public executions. I don't possess the intellect to understand why they have become so popular among the viewing audience but it is truly demoralizing.
See, that's a discussion worth having.
I agree a lot of reality tv is bad.
BB, though, is all about strategy, and as an intellectual exercise and social experiment, I think the show has value. Yes, some of the people are idiots on the show, and that's why many of us are rooting for Kaysar - the man who has actually has a brain. It can be fascinating watching a good player (Dr. Will from BB2, for example), just like it can be watching a good sports match.
As for demoralizing - these people weren't forced onto the show or into the predicitons they are in. Just like I don't think beauty pagaents or porn (well, most modern porn) are demoralizing, neither are reality shows. These people made the choice to appear on the shows.
I don't buy the "romantic" shows - I think those truly are trash. And I honestly don't care if people on the strategy shows hook up or not. But shows like Survivor, BB, and the dear departed Mole were all about strategy and THINKING.

Well since my dish doesn't include The Beckett Channel [you know, all Samuel...all the time] I figured I'd indulge in a summer guilty pleasure instead.
I just think Kayser is HOT!
Most reality shows are a FAR CRY from public executions and I really don't get your analogy. It's like the Christian conservatives making the leap from gay marriage to beastiality and incest.
They are game shows with willing particpants who often perform for the cameras. Actually, that describes most reality shows. Others, like the medical shows or DIY shows are educational and informative. The endurance games like Fear Factor are just a new form of the silly audience-participation game shows of the 60s like Let's Make a Deal in which the audience willingly looks/behaves silly for a chance at some prizes. Then there are the beauty/talent competitions, which actually have been around for decades. Considering all participants have to sign waivers to be shown on TV, I don't see how your analogy fits.

Well that's why you don't think they're demoralizing.
And why do you think it's demoralizing?
(Love your avatar, btw)
chita - And you have given no insight as to why you think they are demoralizing. What do you find demoralizing about The Amazing Race or Trading Spaces? What makes the reality shows specifically more demoralizing than non-reality shows such as The Family Guy, South Park, Desperate Housewives, Queer as Folk, Will and Grace, Sex and the City or Arrested Development?

Well first and foremost because these "reality" shows involve real people. Not characters. These are human beings who are being put in situations(and yes they agree to it) to elicit certain responses from an audience. I think that is demeaning to the human existence. I am offended when poor people are paraded on the screen for entertainment value(Makeover home). I cannot speak for anyone else but the site of Oprah throwing gifts at poor people is disgusting.
