Homophobia or no, men and their fragile egos always bring the drama.
"According to me, the film shouldn't be released, it has been soiled too much," he stated. "The Palme d'Or had been a brief moment of happiness; then I've felt humiliated, dishonored, I felt rejected, I live it like I'm cursed."

Kchiche is definitely going off the deep-end playing defense. Seydoux and Exarchopoulos both actually seem more mixed and filled with humor about the experience (check out their video interview with Dave Poland), but Seydoux comes from a French aristocracy with ties to the film industry, not to mention the most well-known person involved in the movie. He seems most peeved about her because he thinks it must have ramifications.
Anyway, cannot wait to see it.
