I guess if you live in apartment that would be the balcony. You DO have those, don't you? A little dish, a little birdseed. Presto! Instant animal refuge. That is unless a certain person is still yelling out his kitchen window every morning. Or did you give that up for fear of causing a death from icicles falling from the roof?
If not, I would recommend a warning sign placed in a prominent place. You might be sued otherwise.
