"Mlop" is Mary Ann Lopinto, a middle-aged fringe "hanger-on" of the cabaret scene who claims to be "close friends" with all sorts of quasi-celebrities, and seems to be unable to type a complete sentence without numerous typos and confused syntax.

Jon,
mlop and Corine have very similar writing styles (syntax, misspellings, misinformation) so I'd always assumed they were the same person.

I knew sc2=mary_ethel as well (you posted the same question on both boards one day).
I am MargoChanning in both places. I used to post there very frequently for a couple of years, but started to hang out here more back in April after ATC redesigned itself and for some reason, board traffic slowed to a crawl (hours would pass, seemingly, before anyone would post anything).
