It's just all the posters who post hundreds of useless messages (and most of them topics that we've already discussed), don't search, can't spell or use correct grammar, or are 12 years old and very annoying.

I have very little sympathy. The posters who decide on their first day they're going to start 10 new threads without even getting a sense of the community or learning the rules deserve a bit of hazing.
No one minds the posters who lurk first and learn the dynamics of the boards before deciding to go thread-bonkers.

When I first joined, I was never "cyber assaulted".
But, now that I am a LEGEND (thank you), I am assaulted by idiots who think they are better than me just because we don't have the same opinion.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive.
"Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot."
"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one."
Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

One must remember - many people believe this place to be a second "Home" and the posters on the boards - actual "Friends"..
It's all very disturbing..
Also it ties into High School and most people here being outsiders who were tormented, kicked and had their "Chourus Line" CD smashed on their heads..
Instead of being kind, loving and forgiving, because they know what it's like being different, they act out much like the people did who hurt them in school....
All very interesting - at least for 10 minutes or so - till real life calls...

When I joined the board, I wasn't hazed...then again I wasn't annoying and starting 100 stupid threads or posting just to get my numbers up.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

I think that when people first join BWW they post incessantly just to become a legend. As if being a legend carries some sort of status. Quality in posting sndmeeting new people should be the priority rather than quantity.
