Kitz has a habit of killing threads.

I've received jrb_actor's clip, and a preview of Spidey's clip. How are the rest of you slackers doing?

I still don't have a song

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Kitzarina's eating cruel_sandwich, what?

(Just getting the rumor mill started here...without any judges' meltdowns or sudden quitters anymore, this place needs more steam!)

No, I'm not. I just have no earthly idea of what to sing.

I don't suppose anyone knows of software that can lift the lead vocals from an existing track? I'm sure it has to exist.

If you've got two speakers, I've found that on some tracks, you can shut off one speaker and the vocals are pretty much eliminated.

Except I play the track through my dvd player and hold the microphone up to the television. So methinks that is not a viable option.

Si. Because much as I love "And I Am Telling You," it's a bit too intimidating pour moi.

Oooh, Kitz, I can get the vocals almost completely removed. Your voice will cover up the rest, I'm pretty certain. But, I can't save it like this.

So I need a way of either saving this (Cam had me download a program at one time that would allow me to save whatever played out through my speakers, but my trial expired and I deleted it), OR, Kitz, you can download WinAmp, and this other thing... which I have to go searching for the name of...

Thanks for the tips, Allie. I guess I'll just try to be online when Cam gets on this evening. We've been missing each other the past couple nights (what I get for having a social life).

Out of curiosity, what excuse have you guys been using when you're subjecting your roommates/siblings/friends to your wailing into a microphone on a weekly basis? Do they know that you're addicted to an online message board and that you're performing for a bunch of anonymous uglies behind the monitors, or do you lie?

I just ask because as far as my friends know, Thursday and Friday lunches are out because "That's when Ellen and Days Of Our Lives tends to be good!"

Kitz records when no one is home, like she will be doing tonight.

Absolutely NO ONE knows about this, and I'm not stupid enough to tell them.

Actually I believe I have piano only for "the Past is another Land"

It's from our rehearsal cd from our summer production..

"All work and no smut makes Cammy lose her edge." ~DG

"Someday I'm going to have a baby and I'm gonna name her L'il Mimi Marquez and I and will sing to her every day and when she's a toddler I will say "L'il Mimi Marquez, clad only in a bubble diaper, will perform her famous play pen handcuff dance to the sounds of breast milk being pumped!" ~Kringas
