re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

Well Undi,
As a past food critic, I know many great places to go.
And I would love to help plan it.
We should go to Marie's and sing showtunes after dinner.
That would be fun.

I vote in Phanty. He is such a sweetie.
That would be such a gift! re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

Corine, it's lovely to meet people from BWW. I agree. Why don't you set up a separate meeting with Mr. Phanty?
I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

Hi, Middy. Depending on what date gets chosen, I just might.

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

One more time...while I am a HUGE fan of many of the men of BWW and have delighted in spending time with some of them on several occasions, GIRLS Night Out, by definition, means that NO MEN are invited. It doesn't matter how nice they are (because then Boobs would certainly be invited), or how handsome (FindingNamo'd be at the top of the list), or how much fun (ROBBIE J!!!!)...this is GIRLS NIGHT OUT.

No men. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Nein.

Don't diss Cucina Stagilone until you try it.
It is very good food and three blocks from Marie's Crisis.

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

girls night out, sounds fun. my favorite bar/restaurant is Joshua Tree on restaurant row but Ill go anywhere thats wheelchair friendly :)

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

Wheelchair accessible is a valid request. Everything else can be left up in the air.

Joshua Tree is not a bad suggestion, either.

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

Ladies, sadly I will not be anywhere near NYC.
(at least, not until August, at the earliest)
But I'll be there in spirit!
I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

I won't be in NYC until October, but I hope you all have a ball! (I'm sure you will!)

Just keep ~ff~, Shira and me in mind in the fall, mmkay? re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

What day of the week is that? I can't find a calendar.

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

I hate to be the one to do this, but it needs to be done...

Keeping in mind that there will be liquor involved, all "adult" females are welcome. I'm not inclined to add a rigid definition, but this isn't really an event for the middle and high school crowd.

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

I wonder if Film Center Cafe is wheel chair friendly?
They have an unlimited champagne brunch.
For 11.00 and it is ok.
A lot of fun. Personally though, I would rather spend my Sat nights with men.
Can we do brunch?
Or how about Chippendale's? Does it still exist.
LOL!

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

Then put it at post-high school.

And, if this goes well...would there be another one in a few months for those of us trapped far from NYC.

I'd love to join in providing I can get into town (and the NYPD are cool with me being there, LOL!)

And, no XY chromosomes invited, huh. Not even Mr. Varley...
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

Post-high school WAS kind of what I had in mind. If you are already away at college, or are at least old enough to be, then I have no problem. I just don't want to feel like I'm responsible for someone who is a minor or feel like I have to edit what I say...

And Corine, I was trying not to take issue, but you keep making it VERY clear that you are uncomfortable with an event with no men involved, to the point of considering it a waste of a Saturday evening. While I think that a brunch would be a nice idea sometime and I would most likely attend should you like to organize it, the event proposed by Addy and currently being planned is LADIES NIGHT OUT.

Ladies (ie women)
Night (ie dinner, not brunch)
Out (ie I won't be cooking)

And I can also promise you that it will not in any way, shape, or form, involve being entertained by male strippers. It's starting to seem like you think we are a bunch of man-haters...and that just isn't so. But the intent of this night is to gather with other WOMEN from the board and get to know each other...and maybe make a new friend. Go into it with an open mind Corine. The company of other women can be extrordinary.

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

Goody!

I'm so happy to see so many people interested.

Sounds like there are a number of people who are going to be here later in the year... I propose a series of Nights Out for the Ladies!

I'd love to go with a Saturday in July (I think Undi said the 9th). Then, if everyone has a nice time we can schedule a time later in the summer, another in the Fall, and maybe even have a regular gathering every few months.

If I may make a suggestion about the selection of a place, I think we should keep it easily accessible for those who will be travelling in from out of town, and we should pick a place with a rather general menu so that there is something for everyone. I do agree with the suggestion that this be a post high school event. There are picnics being planned that I believe are more suitable for some of the younger members of BWW (and I plan to attend those as well!). We will also select a place that is wheelchair accessible. There is no room for negotiation on that point.

I will be happy to be the point person to organize this, so let's start with July 9th as the suggested date. Please PM me if you are interested in attending. IF enough of you can't make that date we'll look for another one. The point is to include as many of the Wonderful Women of BWW as we can!

So... post away with suggestions, and send me a PM if you can make it on the 9th so I can get a preliminary idea of how many will be attending.

re: BWW Ladies Night Out...

Iff,
I have many female friends and to be honest Saturday is the one night of the week I save for dates.
I would be happy to brunch another time but I enjoy the company of men on Saturday nights.
