For some unknown reason, I have not been able to access any of Rob's sites for MONTHS. I've been out of my mind!!! Several email exchanges with Rob yielded no results. I thought I would have to buy a new computer. Suddenly.....it works! I am SOOOOO happy! And I have so many hours of reading ahead of me.
Apparently this was not my exclusive problem, as a friend told me that someone SHE knows was suddenly able to access Rob's sites. So, if you know anyone in a similar plight, spread the word.
And, if Rob or Craig have ANY explanation, I'd sure be interested to know what the problem was!!!

Did you try emptying out your cookies and/or deleting your cached Internet files? With so many banners and ads, a lot of them load in extra files and hidden stuff that can clog your computer and prevent you from accessing certain sites. I'm on a Mac at work, and sometimes BWW just won't load until I purge the cookies.
(God, I sound like Karen Carpenter.)

Yes, I deleted all cookies, caches, temp files, I typed in the URL's rather than rely on bookmarks (I deleted them too),I tried two different browsers, I tried turning off my ad and pop-up blocking software, my virus program, my firewall....absolutely nothing worked. Rob thought it was the firewall but turning it off didn't affect access at all.
And it is peculiar that someone else couldn't access either until today and suddenly we both could.
In any case, I am glad to be back. Although that surreal thread with paplovesmambo is a pretty wild re-entrance. Haven't a clue, of course, I'm with the Lone Wolf and Popcorn Brigade. But then I always was!!

Posted: 3/13/06 at 8:11pmWere youu accessing from work or home? If it was work, it might have been blocked. If it was home, all I can think is the security settings may have somehow blocked access.
