I went in knowing I would like it, just from the music I had heard from the show. I didn't know I would feel the way I did about it. The performances were top notch all the way around, and the show itself is just so damn good. I got chills when the show started during "Epiphany". I rarely tear up in the theatre, it's just not something that happens to me that often, but I was several times during Act 2.
If anyone is in driving distance of - or just happens to be in the Sacramento area labor day weekend. BUY TICKETS NOW. You will not regret it.
I would go back closing weekend if I didn't already have plans to be in Seattle this weekend. It made me want to see what this company can do next with Assasins.

I have seen the show a few times in Sacramento now and continue to be amazed by it. The cast has been talked about a lot and they are still all fantastic, but the more I see it the more I believe it is really a truly great show. Everything works. The score is fantastic and it really is a great story.
I have my bare shirt and my "God Don't Make No Trash" bare button. I am good until I see the final performance (and James Snyder) on Saturday.
And nice to meet you on Saturday Jarret! Glad you enjoyed the show.

LOL! Yes, we do have merchandise! In addition to the t-shirts and buttons, there are "Here My Voice" magnets with our bare logo, and posters.

Actually, merch isn't available (as of now). A final deal wasn't able to be reached.
The merch that was created is great and may still be available in the future. Watch the website. :)

Posted: 8/25/08 at 4:20pmI saw it on Saturday night and was impressed. It's such a moving story. It looks like I'm in the minority here, but I didn't see what was so great about the actor playing Jason. He seemed, I don't know, awkward. Thought Nadia and Ivy were very good and Peter grew on me as the show went on. I still enjoyed it very, very much tho!

Okay, so I have seen the show a number of times. I was lucky enough to experience the whole journey, starting with opening night and then watching the show get better and better until the final show last night, when it was the best it's been. Over the month, I've loved the subtle changes the actors added to their parts, and every time I went I got a new experience.
Last night was so emotional, the performance electric, the audience totally engaged. OH, and James Snyder was INCREDIBLE! I truly had an amazing night. It was so sad to say goodbye to everyone, and I just wanted to say a final thank you to everyone involved for making the prodcution so great. I wish it would play here another month!

Hi all!!
Yes, I'm resurrecting an old thread, but for good reason. Artistic Differences is producing a one-night-only concert version of "bare" on August 13, with about 90% the same cast as last year's production!
Our director promises some interesting new staging and musical ideas to make it a new experience for those who saw the full production, so it should be pretty exciting. We start rehearsals tonight!
More info can be found at http://artisticdifferences.net/nowplaying.html or just let me know if you have any questions.
