ok ok i know it has been asked five million times........but what would be two good baritone/lyric baritone songs for college auditions that aren't terribly overdone (if i can't love her, oklahoma stuff, south pacific stuff, etc etc) and are age appropriate. upbeat and ballad. would if i loved you be too overdone?

while we're on auditions also what would be some good monologues?

sorry about the redundancy

If you have that Sondheim bari-tenor voice, there's some good stuff from Into The Woods! Also, the Balladeer's bits from Assassins are great, and so are some of the songs the supporting characters sing in Forum. I like "Lovely" the best, and it sounds a bit more traditional, if that's what you're going for. I dunno.

I know it's really written for a tenor, but "Something's Coming" would sound nice with a strong baritone, if it's not too overdone.

...yes, I know, I'm a Sondheim freak.

A List of Baritone Solos

I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.
