Listen to any baritone you like: Raitt, Drake, Goulet, Brent Barrett, et al. One way to find a song is to listen to singers with voices that are similar to yours.
It isn't the song, it is the singer/interpretation. Have a reason to be singing the song. Look at the text and then possible sub-text. Follow the punctuation. Note the alliteration. follow that time signature. Certain words are on the beat for a reason.
There is little more underwhelming than a singer with a nice voice singing a nice song and having no idea WHY they are singing a particular song except to be singing it. Dull, dull, dull.
Boys don't 'belt' per se. You can open up however.
Nothing too familiar. If you know a song off the top of your head, chances are that half of the other baritones know it too.
All this said, listen to "She Wasn't You" from On a Clear Day by Lerner and Lane, the show album NOT the film. It is a great song with a good range, a top note that can be held and your voice can really open up.
Nota bene: an easy song it is not. This is a song about the love of your life.
The lead's songs in Brigadoon are mighty fine too.
