not sure I agree with the reasons, but not a bad idea.....
I mean, they can view those things before and after, so really are silly reasons....I would have much rather seen reasons like classese not disturbed, etc

gee, and maybe to help stop cheating too
seriously, i think we should take this on. it bothers me when i'm subbing and i see kids walking around with them. there's no point. i think they do it cuz they feel like they're grown up with them or something. what's so important for them to have them during school??
...I didn't know Bavaria had cell phones.
My high school always had them banned when I was there, but they may have let up some since cell phones have become so omnipresent.
Skittles, I find that very offensive. When you think "Bavaria," what do you see? Beer steins, leiderhosen and whipped cream? (Sounds kinda kinky, actually.)
Bavaria is a modern place with people there just like me and you. How would you like it if somebody said, "They let orangeskittles have a cell phone? I didn't know little candies that look like rabbit droppings could actually hold a telephone! Ha ha ha!"
You should try to be a little more sensitive.
In my college classes, usually at least half the students spend the whole time in class silently texting on their cell phones.

Are they not banned at most high schools? I guess it doesn't matter, even if you ban something people will still do it.
Bavaria pretty much is beer steins, my high school did it's exchange with a high school in Friesing, so I spent time there. I dont know why it would be different, on the cell phone use, than any other high schools anywhere
You can't have them at my school.
Although, once a cell phone really came in handy on the bus when I had forgotten something.
Double.
Cell phones were technically banned at my high school, but they let up a bit after 9/11 and we were allowed to carry them as long as we didn't use them on school property during school hours and they didn't ring audibly. Of course, everyone just went to the bathroom when they wanted to make a call or check their messages.
If your phone rang during class, the teacher would usually confiscate it and your parents would have to come to the school to get it back. Some teachers were willing to let it slide - in my senior year, some girl's phone rang in the middle of AP Spanish and when she realized that the teacher wasn't going to confiscate her phone, she actually answered it and had a conversation with whoever was on the other line while the rest of the class looked on in shock.
You're allowed to have them at my school, but they're supposed to be turned off during school hours. That never happens though.

what a damn crock.......and yet another statement that cause stereotypes to live on. I lived in Germany, Bavaria is just like anywhere else in the world. If you only saw "beer steins" you wasted your whole time there". This really pisses me off....
your statement is like saying......NYC is just hotdogs, or bagels, or whatever......
miss pennywise, I stopped caring about Bavaria somewhere around the time my ancestors were expelled from the region for their religious beliefs.
