Really, really amazing movie and I highly recommend it. Felt like a cross between Grey Gardens and Tree of Life. It was very similar to a documentary, except it didn't have any actors talking directly to the camera, though there is a good deal of voiceover.
The two lead performances were fantastic, but especially Dwight Henry's as the father was wildly perfect and he could end up with an Oscar nomination. He's that good.
I want to see a special featurette about how they filmed this. What was the art direction like? Did they build (m)any of the buildings or did they film in an existing town?
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!
