Anyone watching this show on Logo? I saw the premiere last week by chance and I'm totally hooked. I haven't seen much about it, which I find surprising. The episodes are available online for viewing.
edited to change the title of the thread so people know what it's about.
Beautiful People
I thought this thread was about danmag and I.
JUST KIDDING!
I thought it was about you and Danmag as well, Stockard.
But, as a second, this series was really good. I didn't think the present day scenes in NY worked as well as the 1990s scenes in Reading so it will be interesting to read what the OT board think.

I seriously thought this thread was gonna be a Hugh Jackman/Catherine Zeta Jones thread!
I heard about this several months ago and ordered the DVD from amazon.co.uk - lots of fun!
For a great read and more info on Doonan's family and childhood, check out the book that was the basic source material - it's titled NASTY, and you can get it from the NY library.

I can't bring myself to watch it because the young actor who plays the lead character looks EXACTLY like I did when I was that age!! It's actually kind of freaky! What bothers me is, I don't look ANYTHING like the present day character! In fact, I should have been cast as the older guy, but, they clearly wanted an uber good-looking guy...damn typing!!
I got hold of the DVD of this show a few months ago and am hooked. there is to be a second series which starts filming about now. Kylie (Kyle) was one of the London Billy Elliot's.

The present day lead character is played by Sam Barnett who was Posner in the OLC, OBC and film of The History Boys. The fact that he's accepted a relatively small role makes me wonder if they'll switch emphasis at some point from the past to the present.
The character's window dressing is rubbish though - would any well-to-do store in New York seriously tolerate it?
Very cool about the kid playing Kyle. He is a fantastic dancer.
Scripps, I guess I take the window dressing like the rest of the show - with a grain of salt and then some.
That clip looks fantastic. I'm DVR'ing it now. Thanks!

(the actress playing the blind neighbour is Meera Syal, who was responsible for the book for Bombay Dreams)
I watched the two episodes posted last night and was dying! I just DVR'ed it too.
