I have always had mixed feelings about thuis film. Always thought it tried too hard. Then they tossed in a bit of cocoon and stirred.

Now when I think of John Malkovich all I can picture is that annoying f*cking Siri ad.

I thought the acting was great. I'm just trying to picture how they pitched the concept of this movie. It was definitely very different and Malkovich was a good sport. danmag- I kept picturing his monologue from the Christmas episode from snl!

I loved the movie when it came out and especially enjoyed Catherine Keener and Mary Kay Place. Haven't seen it in years, though. The concept was clever and Malkovich was terrific.

I agree with everyone about the Siri ads. Creepy! I may even dislike the Malkovich commercial more than the Deschanel one.

I was obsessed with this film when it first came out. I haven't seen it in years, but this tread has made me want to watch it again. I still think it's Cameron Diaz's best performance. It may be a little heavy handed, but I think that was part of the charm for me (if that makes any sense at all).

Agree blueroses. Mildred- it's sort of odd that this is Cameron's best performance and to me, she looked the worse she could be- especially with the frizzy hair. She certainly couldn't rely on good looks for the part.

Malkovitch lost hugely in the Madoff Ponzi scam. I suspect he will be a bit less picky w accepting work. I mean. look at RED- now there's a sequel!

To say Charlie Kaufman is a brilliant director would be putting it lightly. I absolutely love Being John Malkovich as well as Synecdoche, New York which you should look at. Talk about a mindf*** of a film...

Okay- to follow it up- my son just got me to watch Adaptation. I really liked this movie in it's uniqueness as well! Don't know how I missed this one the first time around.

Spike Jonze directed the film...Charlie Kaufman wrote the screenplay.

"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."

^ Yeah- that's why my son said I should watch it. With Adaptation, it really looked like 2 different men were playing the twin brothers! I'm glad I saw Malcovich before this film too!
