Benefit Cabaret 11/12-13 in NYC area!!!

Wagner College’s Gatehouse Lounge will be home to a two night benefit cabaret entitled “Battle of the Sexes” on November 12th and 13th. The “Battle” will benefit Body Positive, a seventeen year old HIV/AIDS education and outreach organization.
In addition to starring Wagner’s own talented actors, “Battle” boasts guest star Broadway veteran Deborah Leamy (“Sweet Smell of Success,” “Fosse,” “Never Gonna Dance”). Leamy will open the two-night event on November 12th.
“Battle” will take place on November 12th (“Battle of the Sexes”) and 13th (“Mars and Venus Collide”). Both evenings will begin promptly at 9:00pm in the Gatehouse Lounge of HarborView Hall. Reservations are available for both nights, with a four dollar suggested donation at the door.
Night one, “Battle of the Sexes”, will pit female performers against their male counterparts, splitting the evening into two acts. Evening two, entitled “Mars and Venus Collide”, will bring the two sexes together for an evening of duets and ensemble numbers, and will also feature a guest speaker from Body Positive to give an overview of the
organization and discuss its cause.
Sponsorships will also be sold in order to make the fundraising as effective as possible. Those who sponsor the event will receive a listing in the program, with Platinum and Angel sponsors having the option of preferred seating for the event.
Founded in 1987, Body Positive is an organization dedicated to helping those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in living and coping with the disease. In addition, they are active members of the New York City community, providing outreach and education programs to raise awareness and aid in preventing the spread of the disease.

I'd love for anyone interested to come on down to this event! We're raising money for a great cause and have a wide range of material being performed. Everything from Kander and Ebb to Gershwin to LaChiusa, and we'll even be singing some yet-unproduced material! Wagner is quick and easy to get to from the NY/NJ area, especially mass transit coming from Manhattan (there's even a bus that takes you right to campus!). A great opportunity for those looking around for musical theatre colleges to come and check out the campus and see what Wagner has to offer. Look forward to seeing you there!
