What's your recommendation for the best London hotel? Prefer under 190GBP/275US per night.

Try some of the "secret hotels" on Lastminute.com

I've paid £95 for what would have been £250 hotel rooms.

My partner and I try to spend less than that, so we usually stick with the Park Inn Russell Square near the Holborn tube stop. Clean, comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced. There is a Tesco next door and a Sainsbury's near the tube station.

I've always liked the Marriott in Regents Park. They have a great breakfast buffet. I just checked and their rate in July is £145. Nearest Tube stop is Swiss Cottage.
