Gotta put Juno on the list! Your list is definitely unique. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I would have to disagree with most of your list. Have a happy new year. mom

No Country for Old Men
No End in Sight
The Savages
Superbad

I have not yet seen There Will Be Blood, Into the Wild, I'm Not There, Once and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

Well I have not seen too many movies this year don't have 10
In no particular order:
Breach (really irks me that Cooper was forgotten in awards season for this one; alas the perils of February release dates)
Hairspray(if I close my eyes and hum when Travolta was on screen)
No Country for Old Men
Paris, Je T'Aime
In no particular order:
Breach (really irks me that Cooper was forgotten in awards season for this one; alas the perils of February release dates)
Hairspray(if I close my eyes and hum when Travolta was on screen)
No Country for Old Men

My tastes aren't super-broad, which definitely limits my list (I mean, good though they might be, I can't possibly make myself have any desire to see There Will Be Blood or No Country for Old Men, for instance), but my top five, in alphabetical order, would be:
Enchanted
Juno
Once
Sweeney Todd
Waitress

Juno
Once
Sweeney Todd

Oh, Paris Je T'aime! Totally forgot that that was this year. That last short was a killer. I laughed, I cried... it was better than Cats!

I thought that this was EXTREMELY homophobic, no matter how much it tried to cover it up with morals in the end

Thanks taz, I probably would have forgotten myself but C1 and I just bought a copy on DVD last week...it was just excellent. Generally moves about real events bore me, I still haven't seen Titanic, but that's another story. Anyway, Breach was truly exquisite....oddly it was hearing interviews that some big time A List stars swooped after the script got out to try and steal the part from Cooper that actually induced me go see it in the theater...I just bet one of them was George Clooney.

what a shame that he's being overlooked this awards season. That was a brilliant and complete performance.

Yup. Totally agree -- He really is in a master class of acting and should be at the top of the Best Actor lists this year for that one. Come to think of it I've never been disappointed in any of his performances even if I didn't love the movie -- Me, Myself and Irene comes to mind!
