Posted: 6/26/04 at 1:54amI'm planning to move to the city in November and wanted to know what the best sources for finding a roommate are. I've never done that before, so I'm not sure where good and reliable places to look are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there are lots of options. Craigslist really has a lot of good listings...but be warned since many of them are realtors in disguise.
There are tons of gay options as well...that's if you want to go that route. Rainbow Roommates is one and the one my friend used to find his apartment I can't even remember...but a call to the Center would probably get you all those services.

Do you have any connections with organizations in the city? For example, there are roommate listings at Actors Equity, as well as several of the schools in the city.
PS: Why are you moving to the city?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
