I would have to say Lawrence of Arabia

To see this in a big theater with a large screen with theater sound was awesome. A close second was How The West Was WOn. Cinerama & a thousand buffalo charging you on a huge screen. This is what I miss most about movies now

"a thousand buffalo charging you on a huge screen."

They were personally charging YOU, Roxy?

Why am I getting an image of Bella in LOST IN YONKERS?

I think you were there as the Walter Brennan character

2001: A Space Odyssey. Cliched, but you know it's true.

Best cinematography I've ever seen in a movie.

Best special effects I've ever seen in a movie.

Best third act I've ever seen in a movie.

I need to see it on a big screen at some point. I must locate that theater...I MUST!

I think only the Ziegfeld would qualify

If & when the Loews Jersey ever shows it I will let you know. 3000 plus seats, a large screen & ornate as all hell

There is the old Mayfair which became the De Mille. It is diagonally across from TKTS with the billboard curving around the corner. Unfortunately , it will never reopen as a theater & it demolition is only a matter of time

Best bet are the first 2 . Maybe Radio City will see fit to screen some wide screen classics in the future

West Side Story and Ben-Hur (even though it was actually from the 50s!).

Cleopatra, hands down!

It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956
