Take that, Fred Phelps!
-- Wearing vests covered in military patches, a band of motorcyclists rolls around the country from one soldier's funeral to another, cheering respectfully to overshadow jeers from church protesters.

This just reinforces what my mother told me about bikers being good folks. Good for them!
I read this earlier today on another news site, I forget which one, and loved it! I'm glad that there are people out there protecting the honor of our fallen soliders from idiots like Phelps and his followers.
This, to me, is a true example of everyday heroism. In the midst of a family's grief over losing a loved one in Iraq, it must be quite touching to be surrounded by a sea of red, white and blue; all flown by strangers to honor the sacrifice of those who fought.
I love bikers.
I just want to hurt Fred Phelps and his followers. Whether one agrees with the war or not, what he is doing is SO wrong. I really hope to have a front row seat to see him and his followers when they burn in Hell.

Yea verily, Elphaba. While it probably wouldn't be the best course of action, I really just want to punch them all in the face.
phelps is batsh*t crazy and it's one of those times that i wonder whether giving a person a forum in which to air their insanity is the right course of action.
and bless the bikers.

Bikers rule.
This put a smile to my face and gave me a song in my heart. I love bikers--they're all big teddy bears deep down.
Mythus - how about just pelting them with hardcover Bibles? And by "Bible" I mean the WHOLE book, not the twelve passages they pick and choose and twist to suit their own agendas.

The Phelps cult wants to be punched, to be yelled at and have things thrown at them, because then they can turn around and whine that their freedom of speech is being impeded, they're being persecuted, poor babies. The way people have banded together to stand against these schmucks, peacefully, is truly an inspiration.
Way to go bikers!!

Yet another example of why we shouldn't be complacent when it comes to gay rights and acceptance in the United States. And God Bless the Bikers.
We need more people like these guys in the world.
