Crying foul that the media is giving Obama a free ride and being to hard on Hillary and saying that Obama's ideas that he might win are a Fairy Tail.
He really should have just kept his mouth shut. It just makes him (and her) look bad.

Was it the ideas of winning that he called a "fairy tale." On the news it said that he referred to his plans for Iraq a fairy tale perspective.
I cannot believe I agree with you Liver but on this I do.

Either way, I adore Into the Woods.
Oh roscoe, you're right, i misunderstood the report on CNN, but now that I've read it, it was about Obama's stance on Iraq, but still, my point stands. Bill Clinton in an act of desperation for his wife's failing presidential bid made him self look stupid.
Me too. Remember, "Children will listen" -- to Obama and just about anyone else, Bill.
Tonight, once the concession's outtat the way, he's gonna need a box of Krispy Kremes and/or a good (or mediocre) b--w j-b.

It is going to start getting dirty though, I do see this as a slight indication of the direction the campaign is headed. Let the games begin!
it just sounds so silly coming from him. I'm sorry, but Mr. President, you don't get to call anything anyone says a fairy tale when the thing you're most remembered for saying is "i did not have sexual relations with that woman...ms. lewinsky"
And may I just say this about the now infamous "Hillary almost cried" moment. Pu-leeze! Please stop telling me, pundits, that we're not "allowing a woman to cry." Those tears were not for the America Hill wants, they are about the JOB Hillary wants and is rapidly LOSING.
Let's be real clear about a supposed backlash against "a woman running..." Hillary's falling daily with her base because she was arrogant, played a non-stop sense of entitlement for the nomination and the job -- and for many of us, she's Republican Lite. People forget the Democratic base has a box of major bones to pick with her hawkish, white male ways.
So when she begins to lose, she cries, and suddenly we're having trouble with her being a woman? Give me a break. And now Dede Myers appears on Chris Matthews show and tell us "Hillary was never the front-runner..." Again, GIVE ME A BREAK!
She is a democrat so be nice to her
If she does not get the nod, she will have a fight on her hands should she run for reelection.
Oh please, grow a pair. It's politics.
Liverpool, the media has always been way too hard on Hillary. That's not news.....that's a fact.
I think what he was referring to was the way people buy into whatever it is the media tells them.
omg! whatever it was he said is working, it's working! he worked his svengali like magic on the people in new hampshire since she's winning by 4 with 30% of the vote in!
yep Papa! This could be an interesting ride here, this one!
This is pretty amazing having a thread like this with no HDT.

If that's honestly what you most remember him for - or think that's what history will care about - he's not the one losing dignity or giving up respect here.

Is anyone alive with a sex drive?
Are you gonna deny DG that the whole lewinsky htings isn't what most americans think of when they think Bill Clinton? if you do then you're ignoring something pretty obvious. I loved Bill Clinton, i wish he was still president, but lets not lie, he was a phillanderer and told a few of his own fairy tales (well that depends on what your definition of the word is is). His speech was rank with desperation and it was a little pathetic.

Unless, of course, he was possibly telling the truth.
I like the Clintons. Both of them. I'm still not sure I want her to be the nominee but I'm glad she's still in the race.
Liverpool--your Clinton hatred reminds me of HD's.

Me too Pj- his hatred and his complete lack of expertise regarding the American Political Scene.
Wow, parsing Republican talking points...
Clinton was flawed - a good President who could have been a great President.
And, one of Clinton's biggest failings is that he responded to questions as a lawyer - and the American public does not understand that this question in the deposition - i.e., whether you were talking about past actions or current actions, was completely valid.
Liverpool, I agree that Clinton was a fantastic President. The fact that he chose to have an affair while in public office is none of our business. And, I'm sure we can all agree that it wasn't that smartest thing to do.
If he is a skirt chaser.......so what......who cares. He's a grown adult, and it's his personal life.......not the American people's.
Never could figure out why the American public was so obsessed about his sex life. Aren't there more important things to worry about?
