I'll have you know that I voted "NO" on that amendment! Too bad. The whole marriage thing is just preposterous.

PJ, what happened in Virginia? According to CNN the numbers favor Allen 53% to Webb 46%.

election results reporting

the united states district court has issued an order requiring the cuyahoga county board of elections to extend the hours of voting to 9 p.m. e.s.t at polling places designated in the court order. as a result of the court's order, all 88 county boards of elections have been directed not to report any election results to the public or the ohio secretary of state's office until 9 p.m.; therefore, the ohio secretary of state's office web site will not report results until 9 p.m.

Virginia is too close to call. Allen and Webb keep switching, with just a couple of thousand votes separating them.

JohnBoy2, I noticed that. On the television they had what I had in my earlier post, and then I went to CNN's website and they had Webb 50% to Allen 49%.

You know, it might seem like nothing... but I personally will avoid the state of VA when I'm in DC. I will not go shopping there... they don't deserve my money. I have to fly into DCA - but so long Tyson's Corner.

Was Katherine Harris ever an elected official? I thought she was known for botching the 2000 election in Florida.

Thanks, JoeK. Still can't figure out why anyone would vote for her. Though I did read she had very delusional aspirations for getting to DC.
