Blind Item

I don't know the answer; I'm just passing on the question....

"What saber-wielding summer movie sexpot was spotted smooching a same-sex companion good-bye on the corner of Kings Rd. and Fountain deep in the heart of West Hollywood the day of the Oscars?"

re: Blind Item

Hmm, well if it's LAST YEAR'S summer movies, he's not from Star Wars. What came out last summer?? Troy, Chronicles of Riddick, Van Helsing, King Arthur...

re: Blind Item

Not all of those had swords, let alone sabers. And it just says "summer movie," not which summer.

Okay, now I'm done giving a crap.

re: Blind Item

"Sexpot" implies female. Did Uma wield a sabre in KILL BILL?

re: Blind Item

Did Keira Knightley use a saber in King Arthur? Or Kate Beckinstale in Van Helsing? Those are the only ones I can think of right now.

re: Blind Item

those are good guesses, Musicgal. And let me just threadjack a moment to say Beckinsale in AVIATOR was one of the most beautiful women i have ever seen. It was like seeing Michelle Pf back in the day, as she got known for SCARFACE.

"Kings Rd. and Fountain" might be an additional clue. Which female actor (i agree "sexpot" indicates the gender) had a saber or sword in the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy (didn't one have "king" or "kings" in the title? like "Return of the King"?) and if so, which one also has a "Fountain" connection?!?!

i love blind items and can often NOT get the ones Billy Masters posts weekly on Filth2Go.com (i know, it just sounds very dirty, it's actually just a gossip site and Masters loves B'way). We should all post them here and try to solve them together, what fun!

re: Blind Item

Sexpot doesn't mean a woman.

How about Clive Owen or Colin Farrell?

re: Blind Item

actually, in the world of Blind Item puzzles, hardly anything is random. While "sexpot" might be genderless, it might also be a clue...as in some movie or TV or stage show that is associated with the subject and has "sex" or "pot" in the title. But generally for BI's, "sexpot" implies a female. Let's not go into the reference to genitalia thus coded, it's kinda skeevy (though it survives from Elizabethan England and the Bard himself).
