Wow... they come to Seattle every year, and fly all over the city and suburbs. I wonder if the City will bring them this year...

Very sad.

ETA:
A Navy F-18 Blue Angel plane crashed during an air show Saturday, plunging into a small neighborhood of homes and trailers and killing the pilot.

That's awful. Very sad news.

The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

Thankfully there were no fatalities on the ground...

Yes, but I wonder why it happened in the first place? Planes are tested thoroughly, it always raises eyebrows when a plane just seems to slowly drift down from its path and crash. No sign of explosion or trouble in the air?

there's little time for recovery if something goes wrong during some of the maneuvers they do - under the right conditions it's even posible for the pilot to pass out
