I haven't seen much of this show, but I've heard some positive things. Anybody watch it? The first season is replaying on the Reelz Channel on Sunday.
I watched it as it aired in Canada. Like (sadly) a lot of (English) Canadian TV the acting ranges from great, to really poor. I did think it got a lot better as it went on. Apparently it was a big enough success to get picked up for a second season (which is fairly rare with Canadian network tv, it seems).
The funding mechanism for Canadian series ( CanCon for Telefilm Canada) usually goes full for 2 yrs. The 3rd yr it drops considerably and is eliminated by the 4th yr .( supposedly sould be financially sell sustaining by then HA!) Which is why so few series ( that don't sell to the US) in Canada rarely go beyond 3 yrs. Flashpoint just made it to 5 yrs. as did Due South (Tho DS was a point of pride for the producers) So don't get too invested. ( tho the show has improved from the earliest episodes)
